REAP provides a sustainability framework to ensure all UBC residential development responsibly addresses water conservation, energy-use reduction and reduce environmental impact on both the building site and the larger community.
Any surplus revenue generated through Village Gate Homes’ buildings benefit the UBC Endowment Funds that supports a wide range of programs and activities such as research and academic excellence across the University in perpetuity. By choosing to live on campus you are furthering the sustainability of the University’s academic mission.
The public realm in Wesbrook, Hawthorn Place and East Campus is a key component of UBC’s livability. From the connected water features, to the gathering squares, to the community gardens and softball diamond, Collings Field at Nobel Park, to the soccer fields at Brockhouse Park and the imaginative playgrounds throughout the parks.
Home to over 8,000, Wesbrook Place is UBC’s largest neighbourhood. From cafes to grocers to doctors and shops, Wesbrook Village has it all in one convenient location.
Hawthorn Place is a residential neighbourhood that houses nearly 700 homes, with easy access to an abundance of greenways.
East Campus lies at the heart of UBC Point Grey, with close proximity to the academic hub and sporting facilities.
