Located in the neighbourhood of Hawthorn Place, at the corner of West Mall and Thunderbird Boulevard, Sumac House has 42 rental homes that are located in close proximity to the academic core of UBC. For individuals looking for housing and a little extra space, Sumac House offers just that. Sumac homes sit nestled within a four-storey wood-framed building. Apartments are available in 1 or 2 bedroom layouts. Ground floor cityhomes are 2 storey homes with their own entrance, 2 bedrooms and a den. The third and fourth floor are condos. The monthly rent is inclusive of hot water and gas. Every apartment has a little outdoor space – either a balcony or a partially-enclosed patio. Between Sumac House and the neighbouring Cascara House, lies a beautifully landscaped courtyard for residents to use.
