Evolve has 110 rental suites for faculty and staff. These are high performance homes that are situated on the corner of Wesbrook Mall and Gray Avenue. Targeting Passive House certification, these homes are built to minimize energy usage with triple glazed windows, movable sun shades, heating recovery ventilation continuously providing fresh filtered air to create a healthy breathing and living environment.
Evolve offers a mixture of studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom homes. There is an indoor common lounge area, a guest suite available for booking and a courtyard with communal barbeques and play area which will both be shared with the adjacent building, Echo.

Submitted applications are shared with UBC so they can administer the taxable benefits and allocation of housing based on affiliation with UBC.
When a home becomes available, Village Gate Homes will contact applicants based on their priority status established by the UBC Board of Governors. Within each of these groups, priority is assessed by the date of entry into the waitlist. View the Register page or FAQ for details on allocation.
